Advent Reading for Kids

This year my husband found a fun resource at the girltalk blog for Advent readings.  It contains a myriad of readings from different books.  So if you want to join in the fun you will want to purchase the books ahead of time so you're prepared.  I really don't want to pretend that we came up with these ideas on our own, so you should definitely check out Nicole Whitacre's post here.

I'm so excited to have a plan of what we will be doing to focus our little family through the season.

I gave you a sneak peak at the first week's readings to peak your interest.  Now go check out the rest!

“A Kind of Christmas Tale” by John Piper
December 2

Are you new to the girltalk ladies?  I have been following this family of women for 9 years... and it all started with reading their book called girltalk.  :)

Noel Piper and Susan Hunt gave excellent reviews of the book:

"The Mahaney women's chatty and comfortable approach is deeply biblical and straightforward, connecting with all sorts of relationships, including single moms, stepmoms, adoptive families, and those in either healthy or challenging relationships."
Noël Piper, Author, Treasuring God in Our Traditions, Faithful Women and Their Extraordinary God; Wife, Mother, Grandmother

"This delightful read is filled with warmth, wit, and wisdom-and loads of practical ways to apply the gospel to real issues facing teen girls. . . . I am grateful for this call to mothers to pass the legacy of biblical womanhood to their daughters."
Susan Hunt, Women in the Church Consultant, Presbyterian Church in America
